The Municipality of Athens recently introduced a new online appointment service for citizens that need to visit municipal offices in order to process their affairs.

Citizens that are not able to use the municipality’s digital platform available at eservices.cityofathens.gr, can now easily book appointments online for 298 different services through the platform rantevou.cityofathens.gr.

Using their Taxisnet codes, they can also receive information on the documents needed, as well as cancel or reschedule their appointments.

The digital platform is user-friendly and respects the right of people with disabilities for equal access to municipal services.

Furthermore, the online appointment service offers municipal staff the chance to be better prepared and complete the procedures faster.

The launch of the new service is part of the municipality’s efforts to further upgrade and modernize its services, and aims to reduce waiting times and avoid overcrowding amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We have created a wide network of services that brings the [Athens] Municipality closer to citizens. We intensify our efforts… in order to be able to serve everyone immediately, efficiently and – during this period – with safety,” Athens Mayor Kostas Bakoyannis said.

For citizens that are not able to book their appointments online, the Athens Municipality’s citizens help line is also available at 1595.
