Vicky Loizou Appointed New Tourism Secretary General
Vicky Loizou has been appointed as the new Secretary General for Tourism Policy and Development of the Tourism Ministry, following a decision by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to proceed with changes in his cabinet on Tuesday.
Loizou is a graduate of Political Sciences and International Studies, and holds a master’s degree on European Policies and Administration from Athens’ Panteion University.
From August 2019, she served as Secretary General for the Coordination of Economic and Growth Policies.
She specializes on strategic planning and market reforms and has a long experience in public administration, having served in senior positions at the Ministries of Defence and Education, as well as at the Ministry of Development where she was responsible for the government’s cooperation with European and international organizations including the European Union, the World Bank and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
In 2016, Loizou was alternate secretary of strategic planning and communication of the New Democracy party.
You can appoint who ever but if the season isn’t extended things will be the same Greece is crying out to be an all year round destination and the tourism it will bring.
