Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens Announces Reopening

Hotel Grande Bretagne, Athens

Hotel Grande Bretagne, a historic hotel in Athens, has announced that it will reopen its doors on July 15, after remaining closed for four months due to the Covid-19 health crisis.

During that time the hotel’s executives from all departments regularly met to prepare for its reopening and enter a new phase for the restart of Greek tourism.

“The ‘Grande Dame of Athens’ will assume the leading role she has always had in Greek tourism. For more than a century she has been a point of reference for Greek and foreign visitors. Grande Bretagne will welcome its visitors with responsibility and create exceptional and authentic accommodation experiences for them,” said Lampsa Hellenic Hotels S.A. CEO Tassos Homenidis.

Grande Bretagne’s priority is to offer high-level services and maintain all the health protocols announced by Greek authorities.

“We strictly follow the instructions of the Greek government, but we have also created our own strict protocols in order for our visitors to feel completely safe,” the hotel’s general manager, Tim Ananiadis, said.

Located at central Syntagma Square, the luxury Hotel Grande Bretagne offers a stunning view of the Acropolis, the Hellenic Parliament, the Lycabettus Hill and the Kallimarmaro Panathenaic Stadium.

It is owned and controlled by Lampsa Hellenic Hotels S.A, a subsidiary company of the Laskaridis Group.
