Cavo Mare Villas Hosts Health Officials for ICU Opening on Zakynthos

The luxury hotel complex of Cavo Mare Villas recently showed its hospitality to health officials that arrived on Zakynthos for the inauguration of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the island’s hospital.

“We are very happy and honored to host Greek Deputy Health Minister Vasilis Kontozamanis and the head of the country’s 6th Health District, Giannis Karvelis, at our hotel,” Giannis Mavrikos, Cavo Mare Villas, owner, said.

The inauguration of the ICU on the island comes at the time when Zakynthos is preparing to welcome tourists, boosting the island’s reputation as a safe destination.

“Especially under these unprecedented circumstances, it is a great honor for us to be the hotel hosting Mr. Kontozamanis and Mr. Karvelis,” Cavo Mare Villas Public Relations Manager Lenia Mavrikou said.

“The government is facing a major health crisis due to Covid-19, a crisis that has created multiple challenges. We congratulate them on dealing with the health crisis and for the way they are promoting our country abroad,” Mavrikou added.

A family-run hotel, the Cavo Mare Villas complex is located in the Tragaki area of Zakynthos and consists of 9 seaside villas. The Mavrikos family has been active in the tourism field for years and their hotel has been repeatedly honored with Golden Zoover Awards for its brand, location, luxurious features and quality of services.

It should be mentioned that Villa Plus, a leading UK luxury villa rental operator, chose the Cavo Mare Villas to “star” on the cover of its promotional brochure for 2020.
