Celestyal Releases Cruise Program for 2021 & 2022

Celestyal Cruises has announced popular but less crowded destinations in the Aegean sea and the Eastern Mediterranean as part of its 2021-2022 cruise program.

“For 2021 and 2022 our midsized ships will focus on our most popular, less crowded and award-winning itineraries that showcase the best of Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean,” said Celestyal’s Chief Commercial Officer, Leslie Peden.

The cruise company has added Syros, Agios Nikolaos on Crete and Thessaloniki in northern Greece to its revised itineraries.

According to Peden, the new undiscovered destinations will not only provide guests with new experiences but they complement the cruise company’s existing itineraries and will ensure guests maximize time ashore.

Celestyal’s 2021-2022 cruise program is as follows:

‘Iconic Discovery’ with Celestyal Olympia

Syros island, Cyclades

The new three- and four-night winter “Iconic Discovery” cruises have been designed based on high-demand destinations and the short duration of winter days. They are an amended version of the “Iconic Aegean” cruise, aiming to expand the tourism season in Greece.

The cruises include a visit to the island of Syros and a full day on Santorini. They also offer a trip to the ancient city of Ephesus in Turkey.

The winter departures of ” Iconic Discovery” will take place from October 25 – November 26, 2021; from March 4 – 11, 2022; and from October 31 – November 25, 2022.

The short summer three- and four-night “Iconic Aegean” cruises will continue between March 15 – October 22, 2021; and from March 14 – October 28, 2022.

‘Idyllic Aegean’ with Celestyal Crystal

Agios Nikolaos, Crete

The seven-night “Idyllic Aegean” cruise sets sail for Agios Nikolaos, one of the most beautiful ports on the northeastern side of Crete, instead of Heraklion.

Celestyal Cruises offers the opportunity of pre-booking five excursions: From Agios Nikolaos to the Palace of Knossos and Heraklion; a full day on Crete; the River Trekking Tour on the river of Rihtis gorge; a Cretan Jeep Safari; and excursions to Elounda and Spinalonga.

The “Idyllic Aegean” cruises depart between April 3 – October 9, 2021; and April 30 – October 8, 2022.

‘Eclectic Aegean’ with Celestyal Crystal

Thessaloniki, northern Greece

The “Eclectic Aegean” cruise provides guests with more time to selected destinations, including Thessaloniki – the itinerary’s new boarding and disembarking port that replaced Heraklion, offering the opportunity to guests to experience road tourism to the Balkans and facilitating air connection with western and northern Europe.

The new itinerary will also offer a whole day on Santorini.

Departures from Thessaloniki will take place at midnight, so that visitors will have a day to enjoy the second largest city in Greece. In Thessaloniki, visitors can pre-book trips such as the “Panoramic Thessaloniki”, “The Royal Tombs of Vergina” and “The Land of Alexander the Great”.

The seven-night “Eclectic Aegean” cruises depart between October 23 – November 6, 2021; April 9 – 23, 2022; and October 29 – November 12, 2022.

‘Three Continents’ with Celestyal Crystal

The seven-night “Three Continents” cruise with Celestyal Crystal will no longer approach Alexandria, Egypt, and will travel directly from Athens to Port Said in order to include visits to the pyramids of Giza, as part of an all-day trip to Cairo.

The “Three Continents” cruises depart between March 6 – 27, 2021 and November 20 – December 25 2021, with a special New Year’s itinerary, which includes an additional free night on the cruise ship in Athens. Departures will continue from March 5 – April 2, 2022; and from November 19 – December 31, 2022, including Christmas and New Year departures.

‘Steps of Paul’ with Celestyal Crystal

Celestyal Cruises has added new departures to the “Steps of Paul” cruise to meet the high demand. The passengers will take part in a religious trip with specialized guides, which includes visits to the birthplace of Apostle Paul, which was once the Roman city of Tarsus and is now part of Turkey, as well as to the Holy Vlatadon Monastery, Philippi, the Acropolis of Pergamon and the ancient city ​​of Ephesus.

The seven-night cruise departs on October 16 and November 13, 2021; and on October 15 and 22, 2022.

The 2021 and 2022 cruises are currently available for bookings.
