Located near the Athens International Airport (AIA), the hotel is a member of the Moussamas Bros S.A. group and includes 180 standard rooms, 11 executive rooms, three suites and rooms especially equipped to accommodate people with special needs.
The hotel has applied the health protocols announced by Greek authorities as well as the “IHG Deep Clean Way” program of the Intercontinental Group of Hotels to ensure the safety of its guests and staff.
The health protection strategy of the Holiday Inn Athens begins from the moment a guest steps on its transfer bus, where the use of masks is mandatory for everyone. The bus is regularly disinfected and ventilated naturally. It will operate free of charge, from 4:30am until 10pm daily, to transfer visitors from and to the airport.
A plexiglass divider has been installed at the hotel’s reception counter and marked areas in the area ensure that safety distances are maintained.
All rooms are cleaned and disinfected with special professional cleaners, while the process is completed with sterilization by a steam cleaner. New cleaning cloths, gloves and disposable masks are used in each room. Particular emphasis is given on frequently-touced points such as knobs and remote controls. All printed materials and decoration items have been removed for hygiene reasons.
The hotel’s staff will have a reduced or no presence in the room, according to the guests’ wishes, during their stay. All members of the staff are required to wear a mask, unless protected by a plexiglass divider.
The hotel can offer personal protective equipment (gloves, mask) to its customers.
In collaboration with OTIS, a special system has been installed on elevators for continuous air renewal.
The restaurant, bar and kitchen operate in accordance with HACCP procedures and health protocols.
The hotel’s staff receives constant training on hygiene and disinfection methods.
The hotel’s indoor pool and gym will remain closed in line with the relevant ministry’s instructions.
Furthermore, guests are kindly asked to depart from their room by 11 am, to allow thorough cleaning.
