Chamber Announces Platform to Assist Greek Hoteliers with New Health Protocols
The Hellenic Chamber of Hotels has launched a special online platform to help its members properly follow the mandatory health and safety protocols released by the Greek government.
The new protocols aim to reduce the risk of coronavirus (Covid-19) transmission to hotel employees and customers.
Aiming to make the process more simple for its members, the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels’ new platform gives a hotelier the opportunity to log on and enter a hotel’s data (size, number of rooms, offered services) in order to receive the health protocol – tailored and adjusted to the specifications and provided services of the specific hotel – that must be implemented.
The chamber’s members will have direct automated access to any update of the health protocols.
In addition, educational material for hotel staff, provided by EODY and the Tourism Ministry, will be posted on the platform.
“The respectful observance of health protocols by every hotel that will welcome visitors, is an absolute commitment of our business ethics. That is why the chamber, in order to make things easier for all its members, is opening this special platform so that each hotel can immediately and responsibly receive its own specialized protocol that must be followed,” Hellenic Chamber of Hotels Alexandros Vassilikos said.
Among many new rules mentioned in the protocols, Greek hotels and other tourist accommodation establishments will also be obliged to obtain the new “Health First” certification seal and display it in their reception areas.
The chamber’s new platform is available here.
