The 85th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) 2020, scheduled to take place in the Greek northern port city during September 5-13, will run under the strict health protocols set up by the country’s authorities to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Greece’s national exhibition body TIF-Helexpo, organizer of the event recently announced that TIF will adapt to the new conditions and focus on the safety of exhibitors and visitors.
“After the last crucial months, this year’s event will send an optimistic message beyond the country’s borders, for the restart of the economy,” the company said.
TIF-Helexpo is working closely with the relevant ministries, Greece’s National Public Health Organization (EODY) and the Cologne exhibition body – responsible for Germany’s participation as a country of honor – to modify the content and program of TIF according to the coronavirus health protocols.
Thessaloniki International Fair is considered one of the largest business, industry, political and trade events in Southeastern Europe. It brings together professionals and buyers from across Greece and the broader region.
“During its long history, TIF-Helexpo has managed to operate under extremely adverse conditions, always showing responsibility towards its visitors, customers and associates. The effective and successful management of the health crisis in Greece, is the best guarantee for a responsible major international event, such as the 85th TIF,” the company said.
