The Μunicipality of Glyfada said in an announcement that it plans to hold a summer drive-in cinema festival at the facilities of the Glyfada Golf Course.
“The nostalgia of drive-in cinema returns,” Glyfada Mayor Giorgos Papanikolaou said.
The municipality said that the drive-in festival will operate in line with the state’s guidelines for the protection of public health against the Covid-19 pandemic, giving moviegoers the opportunity to experience a movie from the comfort of their own vehicle.
Instead of a ticket fee, the municipality is asking moviegoers to instead offer groceries and medicines to be provided to its social services.
The municipality will announce more details about the festival soon.
It is noted that Greece will open its open-air cinemas on June 1.
