Amorgos Shares Culinary Secrets with Future Travelers – Video
As part of its efforts to interact with future travelers from around the world, the Municipality of Amorgos recently released a new gastronomy video revealing the secrets of the island’s traditional cheese pies.
A small island located in the Cyclades, Amorgos is known for its unique nature, traditional architecture and tranquil environment.
However, according to Deputy Mayor for Tourism Popi Despotidi, it is Amorgos’ rich culinary tradition that makes travelers “fall in love” with the island.
In the new video, Rafaela Roussou, a member of the island’s tourism committee, and local resident Margarita Petkidou, show viewers how to prepare, cook, serve and enjoy Amorgos’ traditional cheese pies.
“In this period of self-isolation, while waiting for travel to restart, our recipes are the best thing to share with our future travelers,” Despotidi said.
This is the second gastronomy video released by the Municipality of Amorgos, as part of its efforts to send a message of optimism amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and attract travelers.
The Municipality’s gastronomy videos are available in English and in Greek here.
