Municipality Invites Travelers to Visit #PiraeusfromHome

The Municipality of Piraeus has joined the #GreecefromHome initiative with its new campaign titled #PiraeusfromHome, aiming to promote the port city’s unique features and beautiful locations.

#GreecefromHome is an online tourism platform developed by the Greek Tourism Ministry, the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), Marketing Greece and Google, inviting people to explore Greece – not by traveling physically, but virtually – straight from the comfort and safety of their homes.

Following the same concept, #PiraeusfromHome gives internet users the opportunity to explore and enjoy a number of the port city’s areas from their homes. People can discover, meet, enjoy, taste, dream and love the city of Piraeus through wonderful photos and videos.

#PiraeusfromHome is part of the city’s ongoing tourism campaign titled “Destination Piraeus”.

“We are experiencing unprecendented times… We should all join forces in order to confront this difficult situation that has been developed globally,” Piraeus Mayor Yiannis Moralis said referring to the coronavirus pandemic.

“Through #PiraeusfromHome, we wish to provide users with beautiful images and allow them to mentally ‘travel’ to our city, Piraeus, for as long as they stay home,” he added.

In addition, the Municipality of Piraeus will be represented in the #GreekAmbassadors national campaign by prominent personalities that reside in Piraeus, namely Greek singer Eleftheria Arvanitaki, chef Lefteris Lazarou, and Olympic medalists in sailing Panagiotis Mantis and Pavlos Kagialis. The campaign will run in collaboration with the GNTO.

    Hello
We are utterly dissappointed at ANDY”s TOURs and Aegean for Not refunding our group deposits. We need help please. They have offered vouchers but the credit debt doesn’t take vouchers. We need to pay our charges, and refund clients. Can you help please. We love promoting Greece, but this is not ethical way of doing business.
    Thank You
