NJV Athens Plaza: Menu for Easter at Home
The catering service of the NJV Athens Plaza hotel has prepared a unique Greek Orthodox Easter menu, with traditional recipes, for people to enjoy from the comfort of their home.
NJV is among the few hotels in the region of Attica that have remained open amid the coronavirus pandemic. Due to the countrywide lockdown, the hotel will deliver its Easter menu at home, offering the opportunity to residents to enjoy a variety of Greek recipes including the traditional Magiritsa (chitterlings in broth), salads, pies and sweets.
The hotel’s Easter dishes include lamb cooked in the oven, accompanied with baked potatoes and tzatziki sauce, and chitterlings cooked in the oven with herbs.
There is also a variety of salads to choose from: the salad with scallions and dill, the green salad with rocket leaves and parmesan, and the traditional Greek salad with cretan nuts.
Furthermore, the Easter menu offers traditional pies such as the handmade spinach cheese pie with myrrhs and hartworts, and the handmade cheese pie with anthotyro soft cheese, feta cheese of Epirus and black sesame.
Desserts include Easter bun and biscuits, a variety of traditional Greek sweets with syrup, walnut pie, ekmek kataifi and profiterol.
Aiming to ensure the safety of its guests, customers and staff, the NJV Athens Plaza carefully implements state guidelines to minimize the transmission of the coronavirus and complies with all hygiene protocols for the disinfection of surfaces.
The hotel will be accepting orders for its Easter menu by Holy Wednesday, April 15, which will be valid for Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday (April 18-19).
All orders include 1 white wine bottle and 1 red wine bottle.
Deliveries will be made by 8pm on the day of the Resurrection and until 12pm on Easter day.
