Marketing Greece Unveils New Digital Journeys Through #GreeceFromHome Initiative

The upgraded Discovergreece.com travel platform, powered by Marketing Greece, has revealed its new experiential journeys to Greek destinations and experiences through the recently announced #GreeceFromHome initiative.

Announced recently by the Greek Tourism Ministry, the new online platform Greece from Home was launched in cooperation with the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) and Marketing Greece, with the support of Google, to boost the country’s positive image to people all over the world during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

“In such a difficult time for Greek tourism, Discovergreece.com becomes part of #GreeceFromHome and it is our great honor that our travel platform contributes to such a dynamic initiative and joins forces with the Tourism Ministry, the GNTO and Google,” said Marketing Greece CEO Ioanna Dretta.

Found through the VISIT section of Greece from Home, the upgraded Discovergreece.com platform allows visitors to virtually travel to Greece through special features and live exciting digital experiences.

Greece’s destinations, history, culture, gastronomy, natural beauty, lifestyle and all other elements that compose the country’s unique tourism identity are found through a modern and appealing digital environment, putting the traveler in the center and offering digital journeys to Greece all year round.

According to Marketing Greece, the main goal of its upgraded travel platform is to transfer reality into the digital world in the most immersive way.

As underlined by the company’s CEO, Marketing Greece deeply embraces cooperations and synergies, which are very important during such times.

“In these shocking moments we are living, we all have an obligation to remain united… Battles are won by teams and we are sure that Greek tourism will succeed once again,” Dretta said.

The Discovergreece.com platform was upgraded with funding from 27 sponsors (private tourism enterprises and companies of the private sector) who had supported Marketing Greece’s Oh My Greece campaign launched last year.
