GNTO Launches Tender Process to Upgrade ‘Visit Greece’ Website

The Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) has launched a tender process for the upgrade of its official website – Visit Greece (visitgreece.com) – aiming to offer even more updated tourism information to travelers worldwide.

The revamped website is aimed to feature a new user-friendly state-of-the-art software.

“I have signed the tender for the overall upgrade of visitgreece.gr, the central web portal for Greece’s tourism promotion… We have made some significant preparations which we are now ready to implement. We must be ready, so that after the crisis, we will be even stronger,” GNTO Secretary General Dimitris Fragakis said.

Budgeted at 60,000 euros plus VAT, the project foresees the technical improvement of the portal with the use of new technologies. Aesthetic and operational upgrades will be included and the site’s content will be completely updated.

According to the GNTO, the aim is for the upgraded website to be able to meet the current demands of the tourism market and visitors, and become the main promotion platform of Greek tourism worldwide.

The winning bid will be selected according to economic criteria including the best quality/price ratio.

The deadline for the submission of bids is on April 27, at 3pm. For more information (in Greek) press here.
