GNTO Offices Abroad Offer Covid-19 Protection Info and Greece Updates
Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) services abroad are keeping up to date with the latest global developments in regard to the coronavirus pandemic and are collecting relevant information from source markets.
GNTO Secretary General Dimitris Fragakis has advised employees at 16 global branches to ensure protection measures are adhered to; maintain continuous contact with embassies and consulates; and provide accurate and updated information to and on the travel markets they are based in under the guidance of the Tourism Ministry and GNTO headquarters.
All coronavirus actions and travel measures being implemented in Greece are available in English here.
Meanwhile, GNTO employees are updated daily on the developments with regard to the virus, government decisions as well as actions regarding travel and tourism in Greece, destinations, and products, while at the same time maintaining contact with local tourism stakeholders on the developments in source markets.
“It is very important to be aware of these facts, as well as of the climate in local communities, as this data will help us shape the strategy for the next day,” said Fragakis.
“The GNTO must – above all – focus on the next day. The pandemic will come to an end and by then we will have to be prepared as much as possible to launch a new battle to boost the Greek tourism product abroad,” he added.
