#GreeceFromHome: Grekaddict Brings Greece to All via Live Streaming
Travel experiences booking platform Grekaddict.com is bringing Greece to everyone’s home through its new online initiative #GreeceFromHome, launched in partnership with The Port and Eleni Karavelatzi.
#GreeceFromHome is a series of 30-minute live shows that will broadcast daily on Facebook and Instagram, on the official channels of Grekaddict.com. The shows are designed to bring a taste of Greece to everyone’s home, from people who live there and experience the country every day.
“The purpose of this initiative is to enable people to travel the world from their homes in Greece, seeing it through the eyes of the Greeks that are involved in tourism,” said Grekaddict.com’s co-founder, Suzana Theodoridou.
The #GreeceFromHome initiative will host distinguished personalities of the Greek tourism scene, including popular travel influencers, innovative tourism startups and internationally acclaimed tourism professionals.
“The message we want to get across is that even in the most difficult days, young people in Greece remain creative and active, spreading positive energy and their love for Greece around the world,” Theodoridou added.
The show will debut on Thursday, March 26, and then will broadcast live, daily at 19:00 (GMT + 2) presented by Eleni from Visit Kastellorizo, and Lucy from The Port, a marketing consulting and business advisory firm.
The final program with the speakers will be announced shortly. The #GreeceFromHome team invites anyone interested in participating in the show as a speaker to send a message of interest on the Grekaddict.com Facebook page.
“Sources of inspiration and creativity help build a calm and positive atmosphere in the midst of chaos,” said Lucy Xu, a marketer and advisor to Greek and American startups, and Founder of The Port.
“We are looking forward to taking part in this uplifting initiative to learn from and boost our morale through conversations with influencers and startups in the Greek travel industry,” she added.
Eleni Karavelatzi, co-founder of Visit Kastellorizo, underlines that although the tourism industry is currently in “snooze mode”, #GreeceFromHome gives a “window” to everyone to see the country.
“Let’s consider this as a great opportunity to show everyone the parts of our country that we love the most, through the eyes of people who stand out in their own way,” Karavelatzi said.
