Greek Property Owners and Airbnb Hosts Offer Shelter to Medical Staff

The Greek Property Managers Association (PASIDA), which includes owners of Airbnb-style rentals, announced on Monday that its members would be offering their properties for free to newly-hired medical and healthcare staff in need of accommodation. The initiative is PASIDA’s way of offering support to the effort being made to contain the spread of Covid-19.

In this direction, PASIDA announced that it would be launching an online platform where newly-hired healthcare providers would be able to find accommodation.

Tenants will only be required to pay electricity, water, and apartment fees but no rent.

PASIDA invites all members as well as other hosts renting their properties and wishing to share, to submit info online or to contact info@pasida.gr or call 6950 704121.

Meanwhile, an Airbnb host who offered his home to medical and healthcare providers wishing to stay away from their families in view of the coronavirus pandemic, is calling on all property owners to do the same.

According to Stratos Zafiriadis, administrator at Facebook Airbnb Greece – Greek Hosts, the largest host community in the country with more than 33,000 members, the aim is to motivate all property owners to do the same and to support medical and health care providers who must avoid contact with their families.

Anyone interested in offering their Airbnbs can do so via this page.
