Scoot Extends One-time Free Date Change Policy

Scoot, the low cost carrier of Singapore Airlines, has announced that it is extending its “one-time free date change” policy to all new ticket bookings made between March 10 and May 14 (the date is inclusive), due to the growing scale of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

For bookings made during that period, the one-time free date change can be utilised up to four hours before scheduled flight departure time, for travel up till March 27, 2021.

Scoot originally launched the policy on February 19 for bookings made on and before February 18, for flights departing from February 20 onwards, offering the flexibility to make a one-time date change for travel up until March 27.

“Since then, there has been interest in our free date change policy from people who are still planning to travel but would appreciate some flexibility around their travel dates given that the (COVID-19) situation remains fluid,” Scoot said in an announcement.

The date change can be done on the airline’s website, mobile app or WeChat mini booking site.

Scoot flies direct non-stop from Athens to Singapore on state-of-the-art 787 Dreamliners.

Asian Aviation is the general sales agent of Scoot and Singapore Airlines in Greece and Cyprus.
