Sabre’s Sean Menke to Headline ITB Convention 2020 with Keynote Interview

Sabre President and CEO Sean Menke will participate in a keynote interview at ITB Convention’s “Marketing & Distribution Day”, scheduled to take place during the ITB Berlin 2020 travel trade show on March 5.

In a conversation with industry expert Charlotte Lamp Davies, Menke will discuss his vision for Sabre creating a new marketplace for personalized travel to address the changing demands of today’s traveler.

Sabre Corporation is a leading technology provider to the global travel industry, whose software, data, mobile and distribution solutions are used by hundreds of airlines and thousands of hotel properties to manage critical operations.

Menke’s interview will explore the industry’s evolution towards intelligent retailing, the role of technology platforms, and the value of deep cross-segment strategic partnerships as recently established by Sabre.

In addition to Menke, other Sabre leaders will provide their perspective on current trends and developments in travel technology and beyond: Traci Mercer, Senior Vice President, Lodging, Ground & Sea will participate in two panel discussions titled, “Gender Equality in Tourism: Female Leadership in Travel Technology – why not?” and “Travel Experiences Of The Future: Tailored, Data-Based, Relevant”, on March 5 and 6 respectively.

Also, Sabre’s Tom Fecke, Director, Strategic Sales EMEA, will hold a presentation under the title “The Platformation Of Travel” on March 6.

Sabre will also host two booths at the trade show: one dedicated to hospitality technology solutions and supplier relations in hall 9, and one focused on agency offerings in hall 5.1.

During ITB Berlin 2020, the company will present its SynXis Platform, which enables hoteliers deliver millions of personalized experiences; Sabre Red 360, the powerful point-of-sale tool for travel agencies; the Content Services for Lodging, which integrates traditional GDS content from hoteliers alongside aggregator content; the New Airline Storefront, Sabre’s next evolution of comparison shopping and retailing of air offers; and Sabre Virtual Payments, a flexible electronic payment solution.

ITB Berlin 2020 will take at place Messe Berlin from Wednesday, March 4, to Sunday, March 8.
