Epirus Fascinates Travel Bloggers Greece Network

The members of Travel Bloggers Greece, the first professional blogger network in Greece, recently spent six days in Epirus, western Greece, exploring the region’s sites of attraction, local cuisine and alternative tourism options.

The 12 bloggers traveled to Epirus to celebrate the fifth anniversary since the establishment of the network, which strives to promote Greece as an year round destination.

“I’ve visited Epirus three times in the past six months and encourage everyone to visit this hidden gem at least once in their lifetime,” said Elena Sergeeva of the blog Passion for Hospitality, and co-founder of Travel Bloggers Greece.

Having worked with 25 destinations in Greece and two internationally, hundreds of tourism businesses and municipalities, the group continues to promote the lesser known destinations with the same enthusiasm and drive.

“Greece needs more young individuals who are passionate about promoting their country, preserving their traditions and culture,” Sergeeva added.

During the fam trip, the 12 bloggers visited Metsovo, Zagorochoria, Tzoumerka, Ioannina and the area’s monuments and museums. Their six-day trip included tasting the local cuisine, hiking and horseback riding.

The travel bloggers were hosted by Epirus. Travel, a new online tourism platform created by a team of young tourism entrepreneurs that aim to promote Epirus as a four-season destination worldwide.

“As a local, I strongly believe that we have an obligation to the mountains, sea and nature of Epirus to become their voice, so that the people visiting our region can plan their trip and live a truly unforgettable experience,” said Dimitris Chandras, co-founder of Epirus.Travel.

“We were all absolutely thrilled about working with the three young professionals of Epirus.Travel, their dedication and professionalism truly shined,” said Travel Bloggers Greece’s Elena Sergeeva.

The bloggers were impressed by Epirus’ mountainous areas and promised to share their experiences through their blogs which are popular among many travelers around the world.

TBG was launched in 2015 with the sole purpose of uniting likeminded individuals who are passionate about showcasing the beauty and uniqueness of Greece to the world. Over the past two years, the group has also hosted international travel bloggers and YouTubers from UK and USA — on blogger trips to Mykonos, Meteora, Hydra, Poros, Aegina, Athens and Crete.
