UNWTO Secretary General to Make Official Visit to Athens, Greece

The Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Zurab Pololikashvili, will make an official visit to Athens, Greece, on Monday, February 17.
According to a press release, Pololikashvili will hold conversations with authorities of the Greek Tourism Ministry and sector bodies.
The secretary general will visit the Tourism Ministry on Monday morning and meet with Greek Tourism Minister Harry Theoharis, the Deputy Minister of Tourism Manos Konsolas, the Secretary General of the Tourism Ministry Konstantinos Loulis and Greek National Tourism Organization President Angela Gerekou. The meeting will be centered around Greek and international tourism policy issues.
Before noon, UNWTO’s secretary general will exchange views with representatives of Greek tourism bodies and organizations at the Electra Metropolis Hotel.
On Tuesday, February 18, UNWTO’s secretary general and his delegation will visit the archaeological sites in Corinth and meet with local authorities.
Pololikashvili will be accompanied by the UNWTO’s Director for Europe, Alessandra Priante and the Head of European Regional Programs, Beatriz Cano Buchholz.
