Greece Unveils Presidency Logo for the Council of Europe

The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently unveiled the logo of Greece’s Presidency in the Council of Europe, which is set to begin in May 2020.
According to an announcement by the ministry, the logo focuses on Greece, Europe, and the individual. Its symbols include the acronym of the Council of Europe – COE, the letter G for Greece and the Greek sun.
Greece will assume the Presidency of the Council of Europe for the six-month period between May 15 – November 18, which coincides with the 70th anniversary since the signing of the European Convention on Human Rights on November 4, 1950.

Moreover, Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotis on Monday met with the Rector of the University of West Attica, Panagiotis Kaldis, professors and students from the Department of Graphic & Visual Communication Design of the School of Applied Arts & Culture, that participated in the contest for the logo.
Varvitsiotis congratulated the students for their inspired proposals. “We must trust young people,” he said.
