Discover the World Greece Partners with Expedia’s Hotels.com
Discover The World Greece has undertaken the B2B sales representation of the Hotels.com accommodation booking platform in the Greek market. Hotels.com is part of the Expedia Group of travel companies.
Under the agreement, Discover the World Greece will train travel agents in Greece on how to make bookings through Hotels.com on behalf of their clients. Through this cooperation, Expedia will enhance its presence in the Greek hotel booking market through Greece’s travel agencies.
“We are extremely happy for this cooperation with Hotels.com. In order to serve Greece’s travel agencies faster and easier, Discover the World’s experienced sales team has contacted them for their interface with Hotels.com ,” the company’s Sales Manager Greece, Kostas Moschidis, told GTP Headlines.
Hotels.com was established in 1991 as the Hotel Reservations Network (HRN). In 2001, it became part of Expedia and in 2002, changed its name to Hotels.com. Today, Hotels.com generates almost 80 percent of Expedia’s revenue from online travel bookings.
