AIA Celebrates Ethiopian Airlines’ Return to Athens with Instagram Contest

Athens International Airport (AIA) has launched an Instagram contest to celebrate the start of Ethiopian Airlines’ direct itineraries between Addis Ababa and Athens.

Following an 18-year gap, the carrier resumed the route last month and now connects the Greek capital with Addis Ababa three times a week.

AIA invites travelers passing through the airport to take a selfie with an Ethiopian model aircraft that is currently on display at the Departures Level – entrance 2.

Travelers should then upload their photos on Instagram – with the hashtags #WelcomeEthiopian and #athensairport – to participate in a draw for two business class tickets to any destination they choose from Ethiopian’s global network through Addis Ababa.

The contest began on January 15 and will run until February 14 (11.59pm).
