Athens Still Up for European Film Location Award 2019 – Voting Extended to Jan 20
The European Film Commissions Network (EUFCN) has extended the deadline for the European Film Location Award 2019, with the voting process ending on January 20 instead of December 30.
Greece’s capital, Athens, is among the nominees along with Vilnius, Lithuania; “Delphi” Theater; Germany; Dorfulija, North Macedonia; El Hierro, Spain; Luggala, Ireland; Lviv, Ukraine; Rocca Guidoensca di Rocchettine, Italy; Royal Brussels, Belgium and Završje-Piemonte d’Istria, Croatia.
Athens was selected by the Hellenic Film Commission for being among the shooting locations of “The Little Drummer Girl”, the BBC TV series directed by filmmaker Park Chan-wook.
Votes for Athens can be submitted until January 20, by filling the online form here.
EUFCN consists of 90 members from 30 countries, which aim to promote European locations as filming destinations.
Each EUFCN member has proposed a location featured in a film, TV series or documentary, released between January 2018 and July 2019.
