Accor, a global leader in the augmented hospitality sector, is widening its interest in Greece with the addition of new properties and a new partnership with Greek carrier AEGEAN.

“Accor adheres to a holistic ecosystem of hospitality services and authentic experiences in select destinations and its new collaboration with AEGEAN Airlines is an example of this strategy.

The loyalty programs’ partnership between Le Club AccorHotels and [AEGEAN’s] Miles+Bonus gives members the opportunity to enjoy a range of benefits to make their travel experiences richer and more rewarding,” an announcement said.

More specifically, the new partnership enables Le Club AccorHotels (LCAH) members to earn rewards points when flying with AEGEAN Airlines or its subsidiary Olympic Air by converting 2,000 Miles+Bonus miles into 500 LCAH rewards points.

In addition, it enhances the experience of Le Club AccorHotels members as they have the opportunity to redeem their rewards points into Miles+Bonus miles to benefit from awards tickets and upgrades with AEGEAN Airlines and Olympic Air.

This is an exciting partnership for frequent travelers who are members of both programs, because it allows them to purchase stays and discounts for their next trip at more than 3,500 hotels ranging from luxury to economy in joint destinations.

They can also benefit from premium experiences and exclusive themed packages, which will be available through the Accor rebranded loyalty program ALL – Accor Live Limitless.

Furthermore, the partnership allows elevated reward value for Accor’s loyalty customers throughout a network of 151 destinations in 44 countries serviced by AEGEAN Airlines and Olympic Air.

Accor’s desire to strengthen its ties with Greece even further is also apparent with the oncoming arrival of Athens Capital Hotel – MGallery Collection, due to open its doors in April 2020.

The luxury Sofitel Athens Airport, the four-star Novotel Athenes Hotel, the newly built ibis Styles Athens Routes Hotel and the ibis Styles Heraklion Central Hotel on Crete, all come under the Accor umbrella.

How silly stupid would one have to be to convert 2’000 miles (value 20 $) into 500 points (value 10 $)…
