Xenia 2019 Hospitality Expo Attracts 32,000 Visitors

Greek hospitality trade show Xenia 2019 attracted a total of 32,000 visitors from all sectors of the Greek tourism industry. The expo took place in Athens between November 23-25.

Exclusively targeted at hospitality professionals, the expo’s categories include construction, decoration, energy, automation, hotel equipment, kitchen machinery and equipment, Food & Beverage, and digital technology.

“Xenia is the most important platform for sealing business deals and this year brought its 550 exhibitors in contact with 32,000 decision makers from 20,600 enterprises, offering them the opportunity to reach profitable partnerships,” Forum SA, the organizer of the event, said in an announcement.

According to Forum, the majority of visitors were hotel and rooms-to-let executives representing over 10,000 enterprises. Architects and decorators represented some 3,000 firms. In total, professional visitors represented some 20,600 companies.

The expo this year presented a number of solutions for hotel construction, renovation and energy saving, throughout 180 stands on an area of 12,500 sq.m.

Xenia 2019 parallel events

The Xenia expo also offered visitors the chance to gain insight into the latest hospitality trends during the expo’s parallel events, Digi Hotel and Hotel Megatrends.

The Digi Hotel event offered analyses on digital technology and the way it has affected the operation of hospitality enterprises, as well as on the way travelers search for travel experiences.

The Hotel Megatrends event focused on “Innovation and Tradition”, and hosted five renowned architects and designers that presented five innovative accommodation concepts in an area of 355 sq.m. These included a Reception Lounge, a Boutique Room, a Studio Room, a Restaurant in Nature and a Smartech Space.

Xenia 2019 also featured speeches on architecture, construction materials, marketing, technology, ecology and hospitality trends.
