Metaxas Group of Companies on Tuesday rolled out its new corporate identity, Metaxa Hospitality Group, marking its entry into 2020 – “a new era of growth with new investments”.

Metaxa Hospitality Group today is an internationally recognized and award-winning Group with over 45 international awards and certifications. It launched on Crete as Metaxas Group of Companies in 1975, a family business created by the late Nikolaos Metaxas.

New corporate identity

“We are evolving as a business group and are responding to the great challenges and great opportunities Greek tourism is facing by strengthening our character,” Andreas Metaxas, the president and CEO of the Metaxa Hospitality Group, said during a press briefing in Athens.

The portfolio of Metaxa Hospitality Group includes the Creta Maris Beach Resort (681 rooms), the Magic Life Candia Maris (317 rooms) and one of the largest conference centers in Greece. In 2016 the group invested in a new destination and opened the Santo Maris Oia Luxury Suites & Spa (57 rooms) on Santorini.

“Our existing hotels and the new investments we are proceeding with are all under one umbrella, the Metaxa Hospitality Group. We are entering a new era, becoming stronger and strengthening our ties as a family. And this development is reflected in the new group identity,” Metaxas highlighted.

Created by brand agency MILK Branding Professionals, the group’s new identity is accompanied by a new logo, website and tagline – You at the Centre, which reveals the group’s focus on offering top-notch services to its guests.

The new logo of Metaxa Hospitality Group expresses the three main pillars of the group’s philosophy: authentic hospitality, sustainable development and creating value chains for each local community and economy on the destinations it operates on.

The colors and design of the new logo are inspired by Crete, the destination from where the group first began its activity, and the Minoan culture.

“The year 2020 is a milestone for our group… With the new corporate identity and logo that we are coming out with in 2020, is signaling our entry into a new era of growth with new investments and a leading role among the major tourism businesses,” Metaxas said, adding that the group’s strategy creates values for Greek tourism; the destinations of Crete and Santorini; the environment and sustainable development; its customers, employees, partners and suppliers; and local communities.

The new investments of the Metaxa Hospitality Group include the luxury hotel Cape Thomos Luxury Resort in Kavousi, Crete, and the group’s second hotel on Santorini (in the area between Vlychada and the Akrotiri Archaeological Site) due to open in the spring of 2020.

“Metaxa Hospitality Group represents all of us who join forces daily to achieve our goals. That is why we consider our people to be the most valuable asset of our group. With a total of 669 employees, we are a large family with all its members coming even closer,” Metaxas underlined.
