Dutch Bloggers Get to Know Trikala and Kalavryta
Aiming to promote Greece’s alternative tourism products and destinations to travelers from The Netherlands, the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) announced that it is promoting Trikala in central Greece, and Kalavryta in the Peloponnese, to Dutch bloggers through fam trips.
“Trikala and Kalavryta offer authentic travel experiences and a variety of alternative tourism options,” GNTO said in an announcement.
Between December 2-6 the organization will host blogger Brigitte Alida Maria Shipper at the historic town of Kalavryta.
Shipper manages one of the most popular blogs in The Netherlands, which focuses on hiking and nature. It is addressed mainly to women over the age of 35 that wish to explore new destinations of unique natural beauty.
The GNTO’s fam trip to Kalavryta will be held as part of the promotional action “100 Dutch bloggers @ 100 Greek destinations”, which aims to boost the positive opinions of influencers for Greece by constantly offering information through social media throughout the year.
Also, in late November, Dutch blogger Liset Verberne spent four days in Trikala, Thessaly, central Greece, as part of another GNTO fam trip.
Verberne will promote her travel experiences through her blog to holidaymakers between 22-44 years old that are interested in the authenticity of tourism products, and the destination’s architecture, city trips and alternative tourism activities.
