‘Athens Capital Hotel – MGallery’ Brings Accor Hospitality to Syntagma Sq

Central Syntagma Square in Athens is set to welcome in the spring the Athens Capital Hotel – MGallery, a new player in the Lampsa Hellenic Hotels SA portfolio, which also includes Grande Bretagne and King George hotels.

Lampsa invested some 22 million euros in the restoration and renovation of the 1950s building located on Kriezotou and Panepistimiou streets, which once housed the historic Kings Palace Hotel.

The 158-room and 19-suite hotel is slated to open its doors to visitors this coming April, coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Lampsa SA.

An Accor professional, Evripidis Tzikas steps in as general manager of the new Athens Capital Hotel – MGallery, which will offer luxury boutique services. MGallery is a premium hospitality brand operated by French multinational hospitality giant Accor SA.

Besides its upscale hospitality services, Athens Capital will also offer select dining and recreational options at its restaurant and bar, pool, conference facilities and fitness center.

A Laskaridis Group company, the listed Lampsa Hellenic Hotels SA entered a lease deal for the building in December 2018 for a period of 30 years.
