Larissa’s Hotel Metropol Completes Full Refurbishment Project

The Hotel Metropol in Larissa, central Greece, recently announced the completion of a major refurbishment project, which included revamping its spaces and upgrading its room equipment.

Situated in the center of the city, within easy reach of the shopping streets, the hotel is considered an ideal choice for business travelers, school and student trips and the hosting of sports events and conferences. The hotel is also available for group visits of special interests for which meals and services are tailored to their activities.

The Hotel Metropol has 86 double and single rooms, 2 suites and 2 rooms specially equipped for guests with limited mobility.

All rooms have double pane soundproof windows, private bathroom, air conditioning, satellite TV, mini bar and WiFi.

The hotels’ common areas include the breakfast room, the restaurant and the bar-café. The restaurant offers fine dining for business meetings and social lunches or dinners.

According to management, the Hotel Metropol is the only hotel in Larissa with an organized business center that operates in a separate space and has two PCs, a high speed internet connection as well as color and monochrome laser printers.

Ideal for holding conferences and receptions, the hotel has three fully equipped venue spaces with a 10 to 250 guest capacity, depending on the requirements of each event. The spaces include video data projector, flip-chart, projection screens and microphone installation with wired and cordless microphones.

Larissa is the capital and largest city of the Thessaly region in Greece. A national transport hub, the city is linked by road and rail with the port of Volos, the cities of Thessaloniki and Athens.
