Attica, the ultimate, timeless classic destination, is a fusion of vibrant modern life and ancient culture with a multidimensional profile .
In Attica you can find it all: under the deep blue Attica sky, popular to the world since antiquity, millions of visitors experience the rich tradition of Greek hospitality in a sunny climate all year round, in a place with emblematic ancient monuments and modern art events, in a cosmopolitan atmosphere with a plethora of thematic tourism choices on land and at sea.
This year at the World Travel Market (WTΜ) in London, as well as in other international travel exhibitions, Attica is promoted as the “snapshot” of Greece – a snapshot that invites the traveler to “feel Greece” while exploring the whole of Attica in many different aspects.

This “snapshot” shows Attica and Athens as an open air museum, with the Acropolis being on top of monumental ancient sites; Attica as a holiday destination for relaxation, with outstanding hotel accommodation across its coastline, memorable sights to see and picturesque islands; Attica as a congress tourism crossroad; and Attica the alternative, culinary and winery tourism destination that satisfies all your travel expectations.
Since the 1st of September, after I took office, when the citizens of Attica honored me as the Regional Governor of Attica, we are devoted to further exploit the hidden power of the Region as an all year round destination, and we set the strategy to share Attica’s eternal charm with the world.
We are redesigning the new destination brand of Attica, which we will systematically display to all overseas markets.
We will promote Attica’s emblematic monuments and sites, and, in collaboration with the church, will highlight the tradition and history of our culture.
We focus on the development of new forms of thematic tourism, such as sports tourism, health travel, diving tourism, gastronomy tourism, ecotourism and agrotourism.
I have promised to turn the vision into reality and transform Attica into the ultimate Health and Wellness Tourism Metropolis, that should offer to world travelers a wide variety of Health and Wellness travel services including thermal tourism, nutritional health tourism, and many medical tourism options, and give them the option to return back home healed, cured and revitalized.
