Air France Customers Treated to Exceptional Wines
Air France recently held a wine tasting event for its customers with award-winning sommelier Paolo Basso in the Business lounge of Hall L at Paris-Charles de Gaulle .
Paolo Basso was announced world’s best sommelier in 2013.
Under his guidance, Air France customers had the chance to discover the Business cabin’s wine list, specially selected by Basso. The renowned sommelier answered all their questions about the choice of wines available and how to pair them with the dishes served on board. He was also able to tell them about the specific constraints associated with tasting wine onboard a flight.
Cheese maker Christophe Lesueur was also present to accompany the wine-tasting with a selection of regional cheeses.
Air France has received many awards for the quality of its wine list. Last month, at the 2019 World’s Best Wine Lists Awards, the company received the Best Airline Wine List in the World award for the second year running.
In February 2019, Air France was rewarded for the exceptional quality of the wines and champagnes served in its La Première cabin at the prestigious 2018 Business Traveller’s Cellars in the Sky Awards. It was also awarded the prize for the best champagne served in first class.
Since May 2019, Air France has been extending its offer of the best wines, champagnes and spirits with La Cave Air France. The company’s customers benefit from special offers and invitations to private wine-tasting events, specially dedicated to them.
Furthermore, they can order the wines, champagnes and spirits they enjoy on board at home with the Air France Connect service.
