Zakynthos’ Strada Marina Holds the ‘Green Key’ for its Sustainable Business Practices
The four-star Strada Marina hotel on the island of Zakynthos, “holds” the Green Key once again for its sustainable business practices and environmentally friendly hospitality services.
Established by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), the “Green Key” is a voluntary eco-label for hospitality facilities that promote sustainable tourism.
The certificate is awarded to establishments that fulfill a list of environmental requirements and demonstrate their efforts to develop and adopt environmentally friendly, sustainable and responsible business practices.
The Strada Marina was awarded with the eco-label for implementing a sustainable environmental policy in the fields of energy, water, waste management, nutrition, awareness / information / training of staff and guests.
The Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature coordinates the Green Key initiative in Greece.
The Strada Marina hotel is located near the port and the center of Zakynthos’ main town. The hotel also offers easy access to the nearby beach.
Renovated in 2017, the hotel features 112 guest rooms (from Classic to Deluxe suites), dining facilities, a renovated roof garden with a swimming pool and offers a stunning view to the sea.
