Experiential Tourism, Destination Branding on Agenda of ‘StartupNow Forum 2019’
The growing opportunities of experiential tourism and destination branding will be among the issues to be analyzed during the “StartupNow Forum 2019” in Athens during October 23-24. The event, which offers networking opportunities for startups, investors and enterprises, will take place at the Technopolis complex of the City of Athens.
Organized by the Athens Digital Lab of the City of Athens, Innovathens and Mantis Business Innovation, the event has – since its first edition last year – evolved into an innovative matchmaking platform.
Furthermore, its expert panels aim to offer insight on significant sectors of the Greek economy.
Greek tourism will be discussed on October 23, during the session, “Experiential Tourism & Destination Brand Name: Adopting the Unconventional”, among Greek National Tourism Organization Secretary General Dimitris Frangakis, Hellenic Chamber of Hotels President Alexandros Vassilikos, Gault & Millau Hellas CEO Stelios Grigoriadis and Google Head of Travel in Greece Dimitris Kossyfas.
“The forum will bring together key decision makers, who are aware of the market issues. The panel will focus on existing initiatives – not just theory – with a drive for innovation and synergies,” said Dishcover CEO Dimitris Georgiou, the panel’s moderator.
The StartupNow Forum will also host a pitching event with the teams of the Capsule T, Greece’s first hospitality and travel accelerator for startups, established by the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels.
The first edition of the StartupNow Forum in 2018 had hosted 80 speakers, 140 startups, 650 attendees and 550 meetings.
