Athens’ Hotel Grande Bretagne and King George Hotel are included on the list of the Top 10 Hotels in Greece & Turkey, as voted by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler (CNT) for the magazine’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2019.
“The readers of Condé Nast Traveler have selected the two luxury historic hotels of Athens to be among the top 10 in Greece and Turkey,” the hotels’ management said in an announcement.
King George ranks fourth with a score of 98/100, and Grande Bretagne ninth on the list with 92.17 points.
“Having received these important distinctions, Grande Bretagne and King George remain committed to continue delivering exceptional, authentic experiences to their guests.”
The two hotels are on a prime location in the heart of Athens, offering stunning views to the Acropolis, exceptional services and memorable experiences.
CNT has honored Grand Bretagne many times in the past, while King George is entering the CNT list for a second time.
The two hotels are owned and controlled by Lampsa Hellenic Hotels S.A, a subsidiary company of the Laskaridis Group. They are managed by Marriott International, Inc., one of the world’s leading hotel companies based in Bethesda, Maryland, USA, with more than 5,700 properties in over 110 countries.
The CNT Readers’ Choice Awards this year selected 1,800 winners, based on the votes of 600,000 registered readers, who took part in the 2019 Readers’ Choice Survey for the best cities, islands, hotels and transportation in the world. The awards will be published in the November issue of CNT.
