Masters of Wine to Visit Athens, Crete and Santorini
Enterprise Greece, the country’s investment and trade promotion agency, has invited 20 members of the Masters of Wine Institute to visit Athens, Crete and Santorini, between September 28 – October 5.
During their trip to Greece, the Masters of Wine will have the opportunity to taste a total of 125 wines from all over the country, as well as visit vineyards and wineries.
Masters of Wine (MWs) is a world-class institute, with 390 members in 30 countries. It includes winemakers, buyers, journalists, shippers, business owners, consultants, academics and wine educators.
“MWs receive their title after a thorough certification process that confirms their detailed knowledge of the world’s vineyards and wines. Their expertise is recognized globally and their opinion can influence commerce but also consumers,” Enterprise Greece said in an announcement.
The Masters of Wine had visited Greece once again in 2013. This year’s trip is supported by Greek MWs Konstantinos Lazarakis and Yiannis Karakassis.
Enterprise Greece is a national organization supervised by the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which aims to facilitate private investment and exports.
