More than 100 aviation and space experts are currently in Athens to attend the 24th International Workshop on Radiation Monitoring on International Space Station (WRMISS).
Held between September 3-5, in the center of the Greek capital, the annual international event hosts scientists and senior executives from leading aviation and space organizations such as NASA, the Canadian Space Agency, the Russian Space Agency and Lockheed Martin.
“This innovative conference is taking place in Greece and conference tourism is a key point for our country,” said the President of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) Angela Gerekou during the event on Tuesday.
In her speech, Gerekou confirmed the organization’s plans to make Greece a leading MICE destination.
She also welcomed the workshop’s participants and attendees to Greece and proposed that they enjoy the country’s sea and sun, great climate and blue sky – “possibly, the best blue sky in the planet”, as she said.
WRMISS is organized in Greece by HERADO, a company offering comprehensive radiation dosimetry services and products, and the Hellenic Space Agency.
