Stray Dog Adoption Event to be Held in Messinia

As part of its efforts to raise awareness on the protection and care of stray animals, the Costa Navarino resort in Messinia, next month, will host its annual dog adoption event “WeAreBetterWithPets weekend.

Scheduled to take place during September 27-29 at the Westin Resort Costa Navarino, the event will give guests the chance spend time and get to know the stray dogs that are being hosted and treated by the volunteers of the Navarino Pet Community.

Guests will be able to participate in a number of activities such as the “RunWestin with your pet” event, sunset yoga sessions on the beach and many others.

Moreover, the owner of the Hellenic Dog Training Center, Thodoris Triantis, will offer information and useful advice on training methods.

The event is part of the activities of the Navarino Pet Community, a shelter for stray animals currently operating at Costa Navarino, with the participation of volunteers, employees and professionals, who aim to find a permanent home for the area’s strays.

According to an announcement, over 40 dogs have been adopted so far by people in Greece and abroad, with the help of the Navarino Pet Community.

The #WeAreBetterwithPets weekend is organized in collaboration with PURINA®, which this year will offer food supplies to all adopted dogs for the first six months.
