‘Democracy and Spirituality Weekend’ at Costa Navarino by the New York Times
Prominent personalities, key opinion leaders and influencers from all over the world will gather at Costa Navarino in Messinia, in October for the “Democracy & Spirituality Weekend”.
Organized for the fifth year, the event will take place from October 11-13, as part of the 7th Athens Democracy Forum, and will attempt to explore the intriguing relationship between democracy and spirituality.
Guest speakers Brunello Cucinelli, chairman and CEO of Brunello Cucinelli S.p.A.; Angie Hobbs, professor of the Public Understanding of Philosophy at the University of Sheffield, and Bernard-Henri Lévy, philosopher, filmmaker and activist will engage in insightful discussions moderated by Serge Schmemann, member of the editorial board, chairman and Athens Democracy Forum Program director, as well as Katrin Bennhold, Berlin Bureau Chief of The New York Times.
The Democracy & Spirituality Weekend will take place at The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort and will also feature book readings, yoga classes, and a number of curated cultural experiences including philosophy walks, olive oil tasting events and art tours.
Now in its seventh edition, the Athens Democracy Forum, held in collaboration with The New York Times, will take place from October 9-11, in Athens. It will bring together international business leaders, policy makers, and experts to discuss on democracy and its current challenges.
