A member of Médecins Du Monde International, the Doctors of the World Greece offers help to marginalized populations that do not have access to healthcare services.

According to an announcement, Carpe Diem Santorini is donating 1 percent of its online, direct booking revenues to support the organization’s polyclinics across Greece.

“In a period of social inequality, it is our duty to intensify our efforts and provide funding for causes that really matter,” said Sotiris Kopatsaris, owner and managing director of Carpe Diem Santorini.

“At the heart of hospitality lies the concept of respect towards our valued guests, the natural environment and the local community. Keeping these three stakeholders happy ensures long-term sustainability,” he added.

Since 2018, Carpe Diem Santorini has also been supporting the work of Muscular Dystrophy UK. Founded in 1959, Muscular Dystrophy UK is a leading charity, fighting over 60 muscle-wasting conditions that affect around 70,000 children and adults in the UK. The hotel has been sponsoring the organization’s Microscope Ball fund-raising event.

Carpe Diem is located in the medieval village of Pyrgos on Santorini, featuring 270-degree views of the island.

Since its inception 11 years ago, the hotel has been a leader in sustainable conscious travel, choosing local building techniques and materials for its facilities, which combine black lava rock with Cycladic architecture.

The hotel includes large suites with private pools, offering stunning views and exclusive amenities such as Bang and Olufsen A9 speakers and champagne bars.
