Australia-based ‘Excite Holidays’ Opens New Office in Athens

Australia-based tourism group Excite Holidays has opened a new office in Athens, with the aim to provide Greek tour operators with access to its online platform of travel products and services.

According to an announcement, Excite Holidays has an experience of 17 years in the global tourism industry, offering exclusively B2B services while also specializing in the Greek market. It currently employees 100 people in Athens, and operates offices in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The new Athens office is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and is operated by multilingual staff – which also speaks Greek– with the aim to serve its customers in all parts of the world.

Furthermore, the company is offering Greek tour operators the chance to access its online platform and make reservations for accommodation, activities and transfer services throughout the world, at the best available prices.

“At first, Greece seemed like the perfect location to set up our call center due to its strategic position. We wanted to offer the best services to our customers, with Greek employees who have tourism and hospitality in their hearts and speak many languages,” said Excite Holidays CEO Giorgos Papaioannou.

“After this successful launch, we want to further expand our presence to Greece and increase inbound tourism, through the 15,000 tourism agencies from all over the world that are currently purchasing services from our platform,” he added.

Apart from accommodation contracts, Excite Holidays’ platform provides travel agencies with more than 100,000 activities, and 1,250 transfers in over 100 countries.
