Wyndham Grand’s Mirabello Hotel Gets ‘Blue Flag’ for its Beach

The newly established Wyndham Grand Crete Mirabello Bay hotel, located on the island of Crete, recently raised the “Blue Flag” on its beach, which was recognized for its top quality and infrastructure.

A world-renowned voluntary eco-label, the Blue Flag is awarded to beaches, marinas, and sustainable boating tourism operators in over 45 countries.

In 2019, a total of 515 beaches, 15 marinas and four sustainable tourism boats in Greece, were named among the world’s best, ranking the country second on the 2019 Blue Flag Quality Award list.

The beach of Wyndham Grand Crete Mirabello Bay was awarded for its cleanliness and prime infrastructure, as well as for ensuring the safety and comfort of its guests.

The flag raising event was held by the hotel’s director, Aris Moustakas, and staff.

The recently renovated Wyndham Grand Crete Mirabello Bay is a full-service seaside resort and congress destination, located only minutes away from Agios Nikolaos in the popular area of ​​Elounda on Crete.

It offers 311 rooms, as well as over 1,800sq.m. of congress and event venues; five restaurants and five bars; pools, a spa and a gym; various sports facilities such as courts for tennis, basket and beach volley; a mini kiddies club and an array of water sports.
