Wanderlust Greece, the digital travel campaign of Marketing Greece, recently traveled to the North Aegean islands of Ikaria, Lesvos, Samos, Chios and Limnos, and created new original travel content to promote the unique features of each destination to travelers around the world.
The aim of Marketing Greece is to promote the islands’ must-do experiences, raise awareness on the destinations, as well as increase the average daily travel spending.
“The authentic side of the North Aegean islands derives from the locals and their knowledge of their homeland. A knowledge full of love, which they shared with us, and we – in turn- shared with our travelers,” said Marketing Greece CEO Ioanna Dretta.
During their 20-day island hopping journey, the Wanderlust Greece presenters lived as locals, enjoyed the experiences, and filled Discovergreece.com’s social media channels with impressive moments.
Mary Retsina visited the pristine beaches of Samos and also had the opportunity to experience the world-renowned everyday life of Ikaria’s residents.
On Lesvos, Alex Kavdas sought the island’s small surprises and shared the tips revealed by its residents.
Also, the Yaba Travelers discovered the rich gastronomy of Chios and traveled to Limnos to discover the small dessert of Gomati located in the northern part of the island, also known as “the unique desert of Europe”.
