Costa Navarino Sets Dates for 2020 Messinia Pro-Am Golf Event
Costa Navarino, located in Messinia, in the Peloponnese, is preparing to host the fourth edition of the Messinia Pro-Am international golf tournament during February 19-22, 2020.
The event will take place at the award-winning signature golf courses, The Dunes Course and The Bay Course, with the participation of 50 teams, each comprising one PGA professional and three amateurs.
“This is a great way to launch the new golf season,” Costa Navarino said in an announcement. “The Messinia Pro-Am offers a memorable three-day golfing experience in a mild climate in the unique Mediterranean landscape, and includes a fascinating and enjoyable program of themed events and activities which showcase the region in all its glory.”
Team registration, which is strictly on a first-come, first-served basis, will open soon.
The 3rd Messinia Pro-Am, which was held in February 2019, attracted more than 120 professionals, celebrities and amateur golfers. Among them was Oscar-nominee and Golden Globe Award-winner Bill Murray, former rugby player Mike Tindall and basketball legend Joe Arlauckassuch.
The event is organized in collaboration with the PGAs of Europe and held under the auspices of the PGAs of Greece and the Hellenic Golf Federation.

Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr, Costa Navarino’s The Bay Course overlooks the historic Bay of Navarino, surrounded by olive groves. The course in June will welcome golfers to a new earth-sheltered clubhouse.
Furthermore, The Dunes Course has been designed by Bernhard Langer and EGD, and also offers spectacular sea and river views.
Costa Navarino is among the world’s leading sustainable destinations, also known for its pristine coastal location, breathtaking landscape, cultural heritage, luxury hospitality and prime real estate options.
