Astypalea Becomes a Part of ‘My Greek Odyssey’
The history, culture, gastronomy and residents of Astypalea will appear on “My Greek Odyssey”, an Australian TV travel show that is broadcast by a number of TV networks and reaches millions of viewers in Greece and abroad.
According to an announcement by consultants MTC Group, the crew of “My Greek Odyssey” visited Astypalea in April to explore the island’s beauties and significant locations.
The show’s crew will soon return to the island and film the show’s next episodes between June 10-13.
“The high-quality production aims to entertain, educate and inspire its viewers to visit the Greek islands, and make them their next holiday destination,” MTC Group said in an announcement.
Presented by Greek-Australian Peter Maneas, “My Greek Odyssey” consists of 13 episodes per season. Maneas travels by boat to the Greek islands to explore their rich history, culture, gastronomy and unique people.
Last year, “My Greek Odyssey” visited the islands of Milos and Serifos.
The TV production is carried out under the auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO).
MTC Group is responsible for the tourism promotion of Astypalea.
