Kavala and Thasos Come Together for Tourism
Marketing Greece recently launched the new “Tourism Partnership for Kavala-Thasos” in collaboration with the hotel associations of the two destinations, the Kavala Chamber of Commerce and Fraport Greece.
Marketing Greece is a private marketing company for Greek tourism, launched in 2013 by the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE), the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and the Hellenic Association of Communications Agencies (EDEE).
The company is now joining forces with local hoteliers and trade bodies in efforts to promote the tourism product of Kavala and Thasos, and create multiple benefits for the destinations by maximizing the results of coordinated activities and synergies.
“Our main goal is to create a common ground for activities with many partners, as we believe that success is a collective achievement,” Marketing Greece CEO Ioanna Dretta said in an announcement.
“This new tourism partnership is a significant initiative that will offer new dynamics to the destinations,” she added.
The “Tourism Partnership for Kavala-Thasos” was presented during a special event held at the Lucy Hotel in Kavala. The program will use the latest destination marketing tools to develop photographic material and travel videos, which will be broadcast through social media and run on Discovergreece.com in English, German and Greek.
Furthermore, a digital campaign will promote the experiences offered in the destinations with the contribution of a digital influencer.
Marketing Greece will also run a promotional campaign on Discovergreece.com and organize fam trips for journalists and travel bloggers.
According to Thasos Hotel Association President Paris Paraschoudis, the aim of the program is to increase awareness for the destinations, create a positive image of Thasos and Kavala, and reduce seasonality by further developing the tourism product and attracting quality tourism.
