Butterfly Stories Adds Mykonos & Skyros to its Portfolio and Sees Success for 2019

Butterfly Stories Food Management Company entered 2019 with a strong start with the addition of the Greek islands of Mykonos and Skyros to its portfolio of destinations where it offers its services.

The first company in Greece that provides consultancy services to restaurants and hotel restaurants in various Greek destinations, Butterfly Stories offers a series of services that can assist businesses to enhance their brand awareness, overall sales and design authentic experiences for its guests.

“We are more than ready to offer the best services to our new partners,” Butterfly Stories CEO Elizabeth Kouta told GTP Headlines, underlining that every new destination is a new experience for the company.

“It is our pleasure to work with new businesses. Our strategic goal of 2019 was to expand our services to new destinations and this was achieved through the development of our business plans on Mykonos and Skyros,” she added.

But that’s not all, as Butterfly Stories has also launched a new service this year: the “Signature Breakfast Experience” for hotels, which focuses on shaping the breakfast experience of guests into a “total” hospitality experience.

In this interview, Elizabeth gives us details about the services of Butterfly Stories and its plans for 2019.

“With our portfolio of destinations growing, we are already welcoming 2019 with success.” – Elizabeth Kouta, CEO of Butterfly Stories

  • GTP: Elizabeth, please share some information about the Butterfly Stories concept with our readers. What inspired you to create the company?

Elizabeth Kouta: My inspiration came while working as a Nutrition Care Manager for Out of the Blue Capsis Elite Resort. We had 6-8 different a la carte restaurants operating in the hotel and I thought that they needed to be handled independently at the hotel and not just as another service. Gastronomy is a huge aspect that can achieve great sales but also provide high-end experience to a hotel’s guest if handled properly with all services needed. This is why I created the Butterfly Stories Company, which offers services that cover the needs of hotels from start to finish, thus becoming a success story. Our services include a strategy plan; marketing management; social media and graphic design; branding and logo design; and food and experience photoshooting.

  • GTP: What are the goals of Butterfly Stories for 2019?

Elizabeth Kouta: Our first priority is to continue providing our current clients with the highest quality of services for their restaurants and needs, taking in consideration the alterations and shifts of the economy, marketing and current trends of gastronomy. At this point I am happy to announce that one of our goals has already been achieved through our expansion to two new destinations: the islands of Mykonos and Skyros. We are looking forward to working with the businesses on these two islands.
I must add that we are really excited about setting higher goals but also working hard to reach them.

GTP: In which specific areas are you helping your partner companies and restaurants?

Elizabeth Kouta: We have created a list of services that the gastronomy concept of restaurants and hotels need in order to become competitive and ahead in the market! We are traveling and continuously researching by attending forums and exhibitions, so our clients can enjoy the latest upgraded services of strategy, marketing, branding, food and experience photoshooting and so many other tailor-made services that finalize the result and so customers enjoy a holistic experience during their visit to the hotel or restaurant.

  • GTP: When Butterfly Stories participated in the latest 100% Hotel Show exhibition, you announced that you added a new service for the hospitality industry. Tell us more about this new service.

Elizabeth Kouta: In late 2018 we launched a total new service that focuses on boutique hotels and presented it at the 100% Hotel Show. The new service, which is named ‘Signature Breakfast Experience by Butterfly Stories’ aims to bring a total new era to the experience of guests. The service, which aims to take breakfast to a whole other level of experience for guests, was launched following research and on-site examination where we analyzed the needs of hotel guests. Through the Signature Breakfast Experience, guests are able to explore gastronomy from the first moments of their arrival at a hotel; small gifts await them in their room; the buffet concept is very different, offering delicious healthy choices, authentic Greek recipes; and there is a chic decoration that ultimately shapes the general concept.
The first hotels that are ready to offer this new experience are in Sfakia, Crete; Chora, Mykonos; and Skyros.

  • GTP: Are you up to any other cooperations as well?

Elizabeth Kouta: Yes! We are also working on two new projects for the island of Crete, aiming to offer a unique experience to their guests. The first concept focuses on the 180o turnover of a restaurant into something new and profitable for a company. The amazing thing about this activity is that you need to create something good for the market but also astonishing for the guest. So you need to take in consideration an amount of elements that will work together and lead to success.
The other project concerns a New Bakery Delicatessen that will offer high end quality pastry products, while guests will be able to choose – from a rich selection – their own meal, from freshly squeezed juices to daily meals from the buffet-bar for the day.

  • GTP: It sounds like you are very satisfied from the market and your work.

Elizabeth Kouta: Indeed we are very thankful. Our steps are very carefully planned and we are putting in alot of work to create new stories that will bring happiness and satisfaction to the guests of restaurants and hotels. That is after all the main principle of our company.

  • GTP: Elizabeth, you are a business woman, heading a business at a very young age, in a very demanding industry. Is this “a dream come true” for you?

Elizabeth Kouta: It is actually! I created the Butterfly Stories company when I was 26 years old after my four-year experience at the Out of the Blue Capsis Hotel that gave me the opportunity to learn and get into the hospitality market. I really feel that I am just living my dream. Of course, it can be stressful at times and very demanding for a woman and especially for that kind of company that is unique for the Greek industry. But, on the other hand, I feel grateful and I want to tell people that anyone can make their dream come true with hard work, persistence, and positive thinking.
