Peloponnese Tourism Body Partners with ‘Authentic Greece’ to Promote Local Products
As part of its promotional drive for 2019, the Peloponnese Tourism Organization (PTO) announced this week that it had partnered with Greek product promotion company Authentic Greece.
Active in gastronomy tourism, Authentic Greece will work together with the PTO to bring together producers, hoteliers and restauranteurs for the promotion of Peloponnese products and food items.
The cooperation foresees the promotion of Peloponnese products and accommodation facilities through a series of actions, competitions and as well as via the publication of a weekly newsletter.
The TOP board also said it would be creating an official seal under the “Authentic Peloponnese”trademark which will be granted to hotels and restaurants of the region, and will gradually include other tourism-related businesses and ventures with a focus on local products. The Authentic Peloponnese seal will offer levels of certification with the aim to create a cluster of tourism ventures (hotels and restaurants) that will work together in a series of promotional actions in Greece and abroad, while businesses wishing to gain visibility can do so through the Authentic Greece digital platform.
The POT is aiming to introduce the Peloponnese to a larger number of markets, attract more higher income travelers, and showcase the wide variety of tourism options available.
