Aria Hotels Adds Stylish Apartment Building to Athens Portfolio
Aria Hotels, a privately-owned boutique hotel and villas company, has expanded its portfolio of properties in Greece, with the addition of “Urban Stripes”, a stylish apartment building in central Athens.
Known as a “polykatoikia” in Greek (literally meaning multiresidence or condominium), this type of apartment building dates back to the 1960s, during the second phase of the modern architecture movement in Greece.
Located in the fashionable Koukaki neighbourhood near the Acropolis, it offers accommodation in eight spacious, individual apartments, each with modern design and breathtaking views of the city, only 30 minutes from the Athens Airport.
Ideal for business and leisure travelers, the apartments are distributed across six floors and configured to accommodate between two and five visitors each.
The Urban Stripes signature look incorporates clean, minimalist lines, optimal space and maximum natural light. The design is complemented with the use of high-quality materials such as mosaic and marble; modern appliances and facilities including free wifi access. Private parking is also available.
“Offering a secluded and tranquil haven in the heart of Athens, the apartments combine prime location with unique architecture and striking views. The higher apartments are ideal for taking in the vista of this vibrant ancient capital and include spectacular Acropolis views,” an announcement said.
The relaxed, charming neighborhood of Koukaki is near the Acropolis hill, the Acropolis Museum and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. The Philopappos Hill, the National Museum of Contemporary Art and the Athens metro (red line) are also nearby.
“Mainly residential, the area is considered a true gem, highly popular and safe with two main pedestrianized streets (Olympiou and Drakou) and numerous cafes, bars and restaurants, which combine to give each visitor a truly local and authentic experience.”
“Urban Stripes” is Aria Hotels’ third property in Athens, which brings its portfolio in Greece to 29 properties.
